{ new year nuptials } Sloan & Jose's Wedding Story

{ new year nuptials } Sloan & Jose's Wedding Story

Sloan & Jose rounded out the year 2015 the best way the knew how, to say, "I Do." And boy, they did it in style! They hosted a morning ceremony and mimosa hour at a contemporary, warehouse style venue in the town square of Georgetown, TX. The affair was a blend of delicate, crafty and industrial elements. The venue's hardwoods, shiplap, brick and metal garage doors were the perfect canvas to be painted with poppies and proteas. We staged the ceremony backdrop by weaving a-symmetrical smilax vines across the metal garage doors, with a chandelier peaking through the door windows. The bride DIY'd tissue paper tassels to hang from the rafters and purchased brass vases and fixtures to decorate the tables. You may be thinking, what kind of New Years wedding doesn't include a midnight toast? Don't fret. The bride and groom left the morning venue, with bubbles and a Rolls-Royce, for a quick breather and a wardrobe and venue change. As the sunset on 2015, their guests met the newlyweds at the downtown Hilton to do a traditional New Orlean's style brass band march to the popular Easy Tiger beer garden, that was decked with balloons, streamers, tassels, and confetti. They rang in the New Year and their first year of marriage surrounded by love.
